Win work

We bid 14 last week. We followed up on two.

The estimate went out. Follow-up is whatever the estimator remembers at night. Tekmetric, ServiceTitan, and JobNimbus all track aging quotes. None of them has a person whose only job is the follow-up.

An agent tracks how old each quote is, drafts the next message from the actual estimate, and marks it won, lost, or still open. Discounts stay with a person. The follow-up list does not.

Aging estimates

EST-208Water heater11 days
EST-214AC replace4 days
EST-221Drain camera2 days

Follow-up drafted from EST-208. Advisor still sends.

From the estimate, not a blank text

The follow-up should mention the water heater, the date, the number they already have. That only works if the agent can read the file.

Win/loss is part of the job

A quote that dies without a reason makes the next bid worse. Logging why is part of the follow-up too.

Open estimates need an owner

Tekmetric, ServiceTitan, and JobNimbus already track aging quotes. None of them has a person whose only job is the follow-up. That is what the agent owns.

Your estimator still sends it until you trust it.
